Reese Witherspoon Reads Your Kid a Bedtime Story in New Video

Social distancing is the ideal opportunity to catch up on some reading, and this includes story time with the kids. Lucky for us (and parents everywhere), celebrities are using their platforms to share some stories online and Reese Witherspoon is getting in on the action.

Actresses Jennifer Garner and Amy Adams recently launched the “Save With Stories” initiative in partnership Save the Children and No Kid Hungry. The goal of the initiative is to post story time videos on Facebook and Instagram as well as raise money for children stuck at home during this social distancing.

And on Tuesday, the Big Little Lies actress took part in the initiative, sharing a video of herself reading a book titled Uni the Unicorn on the program’s official Instagram account.

“Responding to the needs of kids during school closures, @savethechildren and @nokidhungry have a new fund @SAVEWITHSTORIES to support food banks, and mobile meal trucks, and community feeding programs with funds to do what they do best—and also—with educational toys, books, and worksheets to make sure brains are full, as well as bellies,” the caption read.

Witherspoon isn’t the first Hollywood star to take part in “Save with Stories.” Jimmy Fallon, Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega have also already shared videos of themselves reading books for children.

Virtual storytelling is officially our new favorite thing to do before bedtime.
