Prince William Releases Rare Personal Video Message Praising People of the U.K.

Prince William just released a rare personal statement amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In a new video posted on the official Kensington Royal social media accounts, the Duke of Cambridge addressed the U.K. asking them to come together during this time of adversity.

“Whenever and wherever adversity strikes, the people of the U.K. have a unique ability to pull together,” he said in the clip. “The way that local communities support those affected shows the very best of our values and human nature. The public’s desire to help in the wake of tragedy needs to be managed and channeled in the best possible way - which is why the establishment of the National Emergencies Trust was so important.”

The video message comes one day after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a statement on their shared @SussexRoyal Instagram account that encouraged fans to show up as the best versions of themselves during this unprecedented time.

The couple shared a quote featuring their monogram, which read, “This moment is as true a testament there is to the human spirit.”

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands and her husband, King Willem-Alexander, also spread some positivity this week by sharing a heartfelt tribute in honor of healthcare workers. The Dutch royal family posted a never-before-seen video on their official Instagram account (@koninklijkhuis), featuring the couple and their three daughters: Princess Amalia (16), Princess Alexia (14) and Princess Ariane (12).

Wise words from our favorite royals.
