One account, however, that didn't post a birthday Insta? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's account, @SussexRoyal.
They did, however, comment on the @KensingtonRoyal post featuring a very smiley Prince William...except the comment feels sorta cold and stiff.
"Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!" the account commented. We mean, it's fine...but seems a little overly formal.
For comparison, on the birthday post to Princess Charlotte, Meghan and Harry's account commented: "Happy Birthday Charlotte! [birthday cake emoji] [balloon emoji] Lots of love, H and M xo." Cute, right?
The difference in tone is rather striking, and while we don't think it's a serious cause for concern (as much as the British tabloids would like us to believe the rumors of a royal rift), we do know that the Fab Four just disbanded their joint charity, the Royal Foundation, this week.
A few other royal Instagram accounts posted in honor of the duke's birthday as well.
Could this weirdly formal comment have something to do with the Royal Foundation split news? The royal jury's still out...
The queen posted this sweet slideshow (click the white arrow on the Instagram above to scroll through all of the images) in honor of her grandson William's big day, and called out his position in line for the throne (second). Ohhh, Gan-Gan.
Prince William's dad, Charles, also shared a shot of his son the future king with a throwback photo of a 2-year-old Wills on a swing set.
And, finally, William's uncle Prince Andrew (Queen Elizabeth's third child) shared another throwback of his nephew the duke at 4 years old.
TBD on the Sussexes' tribute post... We're sure it's on the way, though. Right? Guys? Anyone?
