Prince Charles is getting candid about his time in quarantine after being diagnosed with the coronavirus last month.
In a new article he wrote for Country Life magazine, the Prince of Wales reflected on the time he spent self-isolating and how he is now focusing on the silver linings of the current pandemic. In the piece, the 71-year-old praised those who are not only working to save the lives of citizens across the globe but those who are spreading love and kindness as well.
“At a time of great anxiety and loss, the courage and selflessness of all those involved in the medical and caring professions have been truly humbling,” he wrote. “Beyond the walls of the hospitals, care homes, doctors’ surgeries and pharmacies, we have also seen a heart-warming burgeoning of remarkable kindness and concern for those in need across the country.”
Prince Charles also opened up about the importance of technology (we know he’s been video chatting with the rest of the royal fam) during this difficult time and even revealed one of his favorite quarantine activities: Watching funny videos.
“Younger people shopping for older folk, some making regular telephone calls to those living alone, Church services recorded and emailed to parishioners and, of course, we have seen the very best use of technology—allowing us to keep working, but also to keep in touch through virtual parties, games, singing—and some of the funniest videos I have seen for a long time!” Could it be that the Prince of Wales in on TikTok?! We certainly hope so.
Prince Charles, if you’re reading this, please have some of your people send these funny videos our way.
