It’s that time of year folks! People magazine just announced its pick for 2020’s Sexiest Man Alive and we’re totally here for this decision.

On Tuesday, the outlet announced that Michael B. Jordan has officially dethroned John Legend as the Sexiest Man Alive and it seems like the 33-year-old actor could not be more excited about the honor.

“It's a cool feeling,” Jordan told People regarding the achievement. “You know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get.' But it’s a good club to be a part of.”

However, Jordan isn’t the only one excited about his new title. The actor revealed that the women in his family “are definitely proud of this one.” He continued, “When my grandmother was alive, it was something that she collected, and then my mom naturally reads it a lot and my aunts as well. This is one that they’re definitely going to have a special place for.”

The Black Panther star is the latest to join a line of dashing men who have received the coveted honor since it began in 1985 including Legend, Blake Shelton, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper and many more.

Last year, Chrissy Teigen was the first to break the news of her hubby being crowned the “sexiest.” In fact, she was so excited that she even updated her Twitter bio to say, “Currently sleeping with People’s Sexiest Man Alive.”

As if Michael didn’t have an already impressive resume, he can now add this honor to the list. And we bet Grandma would be proud.
