Noma Dumezweni, AKA Hayley Fitzgerald from The Undoing, is taking a break from the courtroom.

According to Deadline, the actress will be joining the cast of Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. Though her role hasn't yet been confirmed, it will reportedly be a brand-new character that wasn’t in the original animated film.

Dumezweni will be joining Chloe x Halle's Halle Bailey, who will star as Ariel. Meanwhile, Melissa McCarthy will become the iconic Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King will portray Prince Eric, Javier Bardem will play King Triton, Daveed Diggs will play Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay will be Flounder and Awkwafina will play Scuttle.

The Little Mermaid was written by Jane Goldman and David Magee, and it's being directed by Rob Marshall, who's best known for the film adaptation of Chicago. He will also be producing the upcoming film, alongside John DeLuca, Marc Platt and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The movie will feature new songs, with lyrics by Miranda, but Deadline confirmed that The Little Mermaid will also include a few musical numbers from the 1989 original.

Judging by this impressive cast, this remake is bound to be a hit.
