Hold onto your bidi bidi bom bom, because we have some exciting Netflix casting news.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there’s a Selena Quintanilla–inspired series in the works from the streaming giant, and they've got their eye on The Walking Dead's Christian Serratos as its leading lady.

While negotiations are still ongoing, it's pretty certain that the former Twilight saga star will claim the part whenever they can work out the scheduling issues with production of season ten of The Walking Dead, according to THR. But now that we know she's a possibility, we can't stop seeing double between the Mexican-Italian actress and the real deal. (Although, TBH, we would've rejoiced over J.Lo reprising her 1997 biopic role as Selena again.)

For starters, the show, called Selena: The Series, will focus on the late Tejana singing sensation. Production is set to begin in Mexico next month, according to Vulture

The project is run by Moisés Zamora and produced by Selena’s family members (Abraham Quintanilla Jr. and Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga). It will focus on the coming-of-age story of the Latino pop princess, who was tragically shot and killed by her business associate Yolanda Saldívar at age 23.

Originally set at ABC, the show was scooped up by Netflix late last year. They then released a teaser trailer in December.

Grab your bustiers. It's time to baila, baila esta cumbia.
