Everyone can go home now, because Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka and their twins, Gideon and Harper, just dominated Halloween. Not that we’re shocked or anything.
Harris debuted this year’s downright creepy (and perfectly executed) family costume on Instagram, captioning the photo, “Hurry, hurry! Step right up and behold the Burtka-Harris Halloween Carnival of Curiosities! #happyhalloween @dbelicious.” Peep the “Sleepy Hollow” geotag. It’s all about the details, people.
Posing as the ringmaster himself, Harris is surrounded by Burtka as a frightening clown, Gideon the strong man and little Harper as the cutest bearded lady we ever did see. As for the costume inspo? Harris previously starred in American Horror Story: Freak Show and he also revealed he’s currently filming the “Carnivorous Carnival” episodes for Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Now it all makes sense.
Seriously, though, can this family be any cooler? Note to self: Score an invite to be included in next year’s family costume.
