An Artist Turned the Royal Family Into Simpsons Characters and You Need to See Meghan Markle

It doesn't matter if you're actual royalty. You're not truly an icon until you get Simpson-ized, at least that's how we feel after seeing the latest portrait series of the royal family—Meghan Markle included—from Italian artist Alexsandro Palombo.

The illustrations depict not only Meghan, but Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton, too, all dressed in (power) purple and striding side by side in front of Buckingham Palace. There's more: Palombo also showcases a series of solo shots of Meghan in a variety of recognizable looks, all on his Instagram feed.

What's striking is how, even in cartoon form, the female royals look like a force to be reckoned with. It's also hard to not feel the sartorial influence of Princess Diana, who clearly gave Meghan the confidence to go bold or go home when it comes to wearing more vibrant hues. (Anyone else excited to pair purple and red?)

Now, our only hope is that Palombo's work catches the eye of the actual Simpsonizers soon. Bart visits Buckingham Palace—best episode ever.
