Laura Dern has a ton of projects in the works. However, there is one in particular that we’re extra excited for—Jurrasic World: Dominion. And apparently, so is she.

PureWow recently sat down with the Big Little Lies star to discuss her recent partnership with the American Lung Association and its Vape-Free Schools Initiative, a new scholarship fund that equips middle schools and high schools with resources to prevent and reduce youth vaping and provides kids more access to support and education.

During the chat, the 54-year-old actress opened up about getting involved in the upcoming Steven Spielberg film and how she first learned of the project.

“I'm excited because we had an amazing experience,” Dern said. “Probably a couple of years ago, Steven Spielberg approached us asking if myself, Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum would ever consider hanging out with dinosaurs again—which is daunting, they’re not always friendly, you might have heard. We were really excited by the idea they had put together about bringing the original cast and the current cast together and dinosaurs we’ve never seen and the sport of paying tribute to what Steven first created. It was an amazing, very bonding experience and I think it's a movie that's going to be so much fun and so entertaining for us next summer.”

In addition to the original cast, the highly anticipated film will feature the return of Chris Pratt (Owen) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire), who both starred in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Jurassic World: Dominion was written by Colin Trevorrow (Fallen Kingdom) and franchise newcomer Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising).

There's plenty of time to watch the first five films while we wait.
