Back in April, the royal family shared a haunting photo of Prince William, 41, standing alone at dawn in honor of Anzac Day. And now months later, there is a striking new video of King Charles, 74, standing alone and saluting as his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, 76, looks on.

Early this morning, the brand-new video was shared on the official royal family Instagram page. In the video, he is watching military members march past in the Quadrangle of Buckingham Palace. His Majesty is celebrating this day in which he made a historic visit to Parliament. Today marks the king's first state opening of Parliament as sovereign, where he delivered a speech to kick off Parliament's working year.

And of course, the royal couple dressed up for the special occasion. The King of England is wearing military attire from head to toe, standing at attention and saluting the soldiers as they pass by. Meanwhile, Bowles stands at a distance, dressed in a white sparkly gown with a shawl draped across her shoulders and a crown sitting on top of her head.

In the caption, the royal family shared an interesting fact about the royal engagement, stating that though this is his first state opening as sovereign, the king participated in the event years ago with his late mother, Queen Elizabeth.

The second slide of the post features a black-and-white photo of a much younger King Charles (formerly the Prince) standing beside his mom and dad, Prince Philip. (FYI, this was the first State Opening of Parliament Queen Elizabeth II experienced during her reign.)

This latest video comes months after the royal family released another striking image of the monarch on social media. In June, the king and queen unveiled an honorary slideshow in celebration of Armed Forces Day. In one photo, King Charles (who is the Head of the Armed Forces) is giving a teary-eyed salute while dressed in a navy blue uniform and honorary medals.

Another beautiful moment from the monarch.
