Kate Walsh Reveals the One TV Role She’d Love to Reprise

Over the course of her long career, Kate Walsh has had more than a few memorable roles. But there’s one she’d really love to reprise.

The 51-year-old SAG Award winner told PureWow she would rather reboot hard-partying Judge Rebecca Wright from the 2014 series, Bad Judge, over her breakout role as Addison Montgomery on Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. Walsh explained that she loved playing the neonatal surgeon. But, in all honestly, she’d rather sign on for more episodes of Bad Judge. Why? Well, Walsh explained, “I got to play Addison for 9 years, and I would really like to play Rebecca a little bit longer. And [Bad Judge] is a comedy and it’s a half-hour.”

We spoke with Walsh in conjunction with the launch of her new Boyfriend perfume pop-up in Los Angeles. The actress-turned-entrepreneur created the fragrance after a break-up that left her missing her former beau’s cologne more than the relationship itself. She imagines it as what “a men's cologne would smell like mixed with my skin, with my fragrance, which would be more floral, more vanilla, more amber and have that nuzzley warm feeling.” After a successful stint in Sephora and on QVC in 2010, Walsh is now selling the brand online, direct to consumer.

There’s also another reboot on Walsh’s mind. When asked if there’s truth to rumors about a sequel to the 2017 hit Girls Trip, she quipped, “I don't know but I hope it's soon. I had a blast.” For our sake, we hope Bad Judge (and Girls Trip) get another day in court.
