Very few people are as skilled as Kate Middleton is when it comes to pivoting from black tie to business wear.
Case in point: On Sunday night, the Duchess of Cambridge was a vision in white—and on the arm of her hubby Prince William—at the BAFTA Awards. Fast forward a couple days later and Kate was back to "work" at the Mental Health in Education Conference and donning a workwear-inspired number that pretty much all of us could wear.
Her conference look? It was an impeccably tailored tweed double-breasted suit. Sure, we can't all shell out for custom Dolce & Gabbana, but a tweed suit is a pretty classic choice—and one us mere mortals can certainly pick up a version of at a place like Ann Taylor.
Kate Middleton, she's just like us? In some ways, yes. The duchess clearly knows there's a time and place for being queen of the ball (like, the BAFTAs) and a time for rolling up your suit sleeves and getting to work.
