She Wasn't an Art History Major for Nothing: Kate Middleton Picks Up New Royal Patronage

It was a busy Tuesday in London for Kate Middleton: Fresh off her first-ever solo outing with Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton arrived by herself at the site of her brand-new royal patronage, the Foundling Museum.

Announced just hours before her visit, the Foundling Museum said in a statement: “We are delighted and honored that her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge has become Patron of the Foundling Museum. We could not imagine a more perfect Patron. We look forward to working with her as we fulfill our mission to inspire people to make a positive impact on society through the arts.”

Given that Kate was an art history major in college at the University of St. Andrews, the patronage is a natural fit.

In fact, Kate looked totally at home as she strode up to the museum's entrance, still wearing the fit-and-flare Catherine Walker coat from her visit to King's College London earlier that same day.

Hard to believe the Foundling Museum marks patronage number 11 for Kate. Cheers to a busy spring?
