Kate Middleton Just Borrowed Queen Elizabeth’s Earrings for the Second Time This Month

Kate Middleton just borrowed from Queen Elizabeth’s jewelry collection, again. This time around, the Duchess of Cambridge snagged a pair of Her Majesty’s pearl earrings.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge filmed their BBC One special A Berry Royal Christmas (which will air on Monday, December 16, at 8:30 p.m), where they prepared an on-camera feast to reward charity workers and volunteers who are donating their time during the holidays.

And while she looked stunning in a red midi dress by Alessandra Rich, it was Middleton’s earrings that really caught our attention. According to The Sun, Queen Elizabeth offered up her silver jubilee diamond and pearl earrings for the filming.

The 93-year-old monarch notably wore them to celebrate her silver jubilee in 1977—hence their nickname.

And this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the duchess borrow some jewels from her grandmother-in-law. Earlier this month, Middleton attended a reception for NATO leaders hosted by the queen in London.

For the occasion, she opted for a mesmerizing pair of diamond earrings, which also belong to Queen Elizabeth, according to Harpers Bazaar.

We guess when you're that closely related to the queen, you have a pretty impressive jewelry collection at your disposal.
