John Krasinski Flew to See His Family Every Weekend While Filming ‘Jack Ryan’ Because That’s the Kind of Dad He Is

When it comes to family time, nothing gets in John Krasinski’s way.

The Jack Ryan star revealed he flew from London to Montreal (and back) every single weekend while filming the new Amazon series because he didn’t want to be away from his family.

Krasinski told People, “Family for me, it’s a non-negotiable thing. So, if I’m honest, I was shooting 6,000 miles away from them, and I flew back every single weekend.” *Heart melts*

He went on to explain that his wife of eight years, Emily Blunt, was shooting “a little indie moved called Mary Poppins” at the time, so she and their daughters, Violet (2) and Hazel (4), called Montreal home while he was away.

And although the A Quiet Place director admitted the commute was “brutal,” he was willing to travel the distance just to show his family they take priority over work. (Just like his character on The Office!)

It’s official: John Krasinski is a dad after our own heart.
