Jessie J might have to put the microphone down for a bit, because it turns out that she's expecting her first child!
The 34-year-old singer took to Instagram on Friday afternoon to announce the major news, with a video that showed her positive pregnancy test, a clip of her sonogram and some growing baby bump photos.
In her caption, the British-born artist said, “I am so happy and terrified to finally share this…Please be gentle with me [people hugging emoji].” She then added, “Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.” She closed the caption with an emoji of a person doing a cartwheel.
The comments section was filled with fellow celebs sending their congrats, like R&B singer Kehlani, who wrote, “AAHHHHHHHH IM SO HAPPY FOR UUUUU CONGRATS BIG SIS all that patience, you did it.” Ellie Goulding added, “You look completely radiant and full of joy. Many Congratulations my love.”
As noted by JustJared, it is rumored that Jessie J is dating Chanan Safir Colman, a professional player for the Israel Basketball Premier League. The two have been linked since April of 2022, when The Daily Mail shared photos of them kissing in Los Angeles.
The “Price Tag” singer showed her appreciation for all the love on her Instagram Story, where she said, “The love. The love. The love. I am ugly crying fr. Thank you to everyone who is blowing my phone up. Woof what a ride.”
