HBO Max Just Released Its Summer Preview & There’s So Much to Look Forward to

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we all know summers mean warm weather, beach days and, of course, family BBQs. But let's please not forget that they also mean new programming lineups from our favorite streaming platforms.

And luckily, HBO Max just released a preview of its lineup for what we can expect over the next few months. Keep reading for a sneak peek of what’s coming to the platform this summer.

2. Revolution Rent (June 15)

The documentary centers around Andy Señor Jr., who has been tasked with directing a stage production of Rent.

3. I’ll Be Gone In The Dark (June 21)

That’s right—we’re getting a special episode of the 2020 docuseries about the Golden State Killer.

4. Lfg (June 24)

LFG is an in-depth documentary that takes a look inside the U.S. women’s national soccer team’s ongoing fight for equal pay.

5. The Legend Of The Underground (June 29)

This timely investigative program looks to uncover the rampant discrimination in Nigeria through the lens of several charismatic, non-conformist youth who “fight to live life out loud.”

6. Starstruck (June 2021)

The comedy series follows a millennial living in East London juggling two dead end jobs and who accidentally gets involved with a famous film star.

7. The White Lotus (July 11)

This six-episode limited series follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise.

9. 100 Foot Wave (July 2021)

Surfing fans will love this six-part doc about surfing pioneer Garrett McNamara who once set out to tackle (you guessed it) a 100-foot wave.

10.Titans—Season 3 (August 2021)

The series focuses on heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong. However, this season is all about Gotham City.

11. The Other Two—Season 2 (Summer 2021)

Drew Tarver and Heléne Yorke star in this show about a struggling actor and his sister, who is just “struggling in general.”

12. Genera+ion—Season 1, Part B (Summer 2021)

This dark yet playful half-hour program follows a diverse group of high school students as they explore the world of modern sexuality.

The Hype is a streetwear competition series where fashion visionaries must elevate their designs and remain authentic to their style without being eliminated.

14. Sweet Life: Los Angeles (Summer 2021)

The unscripted series takes an honest and unique look into what it means to be young, Black and in constant pursuit of one's dreams in the heart of South Los Angeles.

15. Tig Notaro Animated Special (Summer 2021)

The stand-up comedian returns to HBO with the first-ever fully animated stand-up special.

16. Back On The Record With Bob Costas (Summer 2021)

Bob Costas’s new series, which will drop four episodes a year, will be driven by in-depth interviews with the biggest names in sports, entertainment and popular culture.

17. Hard Knocks (Summer 2021)

Hard Knocks gives an unfiltered all-access look at what it takes to make it in the National Football League. Per a press release, the team has yet to be decided for this installment.
