‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Jaicy Elliot Says the New Season Gets ‘Intense’

After 16 years on the air, we can all agree that Grey’s Anatomy is nothing if not dramatic. From catastrophes to love triangles, the hit show has kept us captivated since the beginning. And although the latest season is full of changes, Jaicy Elliot (Dr. Taryn Helm) promises it’s going to be more “intense” than ever.

PureWow caught up with the Grey’s Anatomy star on the red carpet at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards last night and asked what fans can expect for season 16.

“The season has started, and it’s been chaos. So many things are happening. There’s a new hospital involved [and] people are going to prison,” Elliot explained.

So, what’s next for the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital? All she could say is, “It’s a very intense year for everyone. I’m very excited for everyone to see it.” Same.

When asked to share her favorite Grey’s moments, Elliot said, “The plane crash, the shooting, all of these really intense moments, where I emptied my body of tears [have stayed] with me and are still in here somewhere.” She also, of course, loves any time “the sisters are together” or there’s a wedding.

The actress reflected on Grey’s Anatomy being nominated for two People’s Choice Awards this year, saying, “I was a huge fan of the show before getting on the show…It’s been going on for 16 years and I think it just keeps getting better. [The nominations] prove I’m not a crazy person.”

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays on ABC at 8 p.m. PT/ET. We can’t wait to see what happens this season.
