We Finally Have the Trailer for HBO Max’s ‘Gossip Girl’ Reboot—& Wait, GG Isn’t a Website Anymore?!

Welcome back, Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl is coming to HBO Max, and we finally have an official trailer.

Yup, the streaming platform dropped the footage from the highly-anticipated reboot on Thursday and it's packed with drama. Not to mention, Kristen Bell’s narration is giving us goosebumps...

“Did you miss me? I know I’ve missed you,” she says in the clip before later adding, “This just in: there’s a big secret among the ruling class at Constance Billard. XOXO Gossip Girl.”

In the clip, we see the main characters who “run” Constance Billard trying to get to know a new girl. But it’s not long before rumors start to fly and relationships seem to get messy. We also couldn’t help but notice that this time around, Gossip Girl is an anonymous Instagram account rather than a website.

HBO Max said in a press release for the new series, “This extension of the pop culture classic takes us back to the Upper East Side finding a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark….[the show] explores just how much social media—and the landscape of New York itself—has changed in the intervening years."

Gossip Girl stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith.

The best part? We don’t have to wait too long for the reboot because HBO Max is dropping the series on July 8.

XOXO.
