A Girl Scout Cookie Show Is Coming to the Food Network, and This ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Star Is Hosting

How I Met Your Mother meets the Girl Scout cookies in a new show from Food Network, and we couldn't think of a more epic (and unexpected) pairing.

Food Network just announced the host of their new show, called the Girl Scout Cookie Championship dessert competition, and it's none other than How I Met Your Mother's Alyson Hannigan.

The reality bake-off will ask participants to make “decadent and delicious dessert creations” out of Girl Scout cookies, per a press release from the Food Network via Variety. The four-part series will feature professional bakers (actual Girl Scouts would've been too funny, probs).

Katie Lee, Nacho Aguirre and Carla Hall (all Food Network regulars) will sit on the judges panel, and the show is slated to air sometime before April of next year.

Yep, expect your nightly cravings of Thin Mints and Samoas to quadruple while watching the show (and make sure to have your neighborhood Brownie on speed dial).

Turns out, Hannigan, 45, in the role of host makes a lot of sense. While Lily preferred "Sumb*tch cookies" on HIMYM, her real-life counterpart was an actual Girl Scout growing up.

But that doesn't mean that some of the peanut-butter, chocolate and caramel variety won't make it on to the show (and we're guessing Hannigan will still be a big fan).
