You Must See What Jon Snow Wrote in His Letter to Sansa in the ‘GoT’ Season Finale

As we all sadly know, there isn’t a new Game of Thrones episode headed our way this Sunday (or for another two years), so what’s a gal to do? Hold a magnifying glass up to Season 7 artifacts in hopes of uncovering some Season 8 clues, amirite?

Yesterday, HBO released up close and personal images of the letter Jon Snow sent via Raven Express to Sansa, informing her he bent the knee to Daenerys Targaryen. The network also shared (on its GoT blog) photos of High Septon Maynard’s diary that ultimately revealed Jon’s true lineage.

Both of these artifacts caused major drama in the Season 7 finale, so we couldn’t help but sneak a closer peek. Here, three behind-the-scenes images only true Thronies will appreciate:

Deep Breath, Here’s An Even Closer Look

It reads, “Cersei Lannister has pledged her forces to our cause, as has Daenerys Targaryen. And if we survive this war, I have pledged our forces to Daenerys as the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. We are both coming to organize the defense of the realm.”

And Here, High Septon Maynard's Diary Record Of The Marriage Of Lyanna Stark And Rhaegar Targaryen(aka Jon Snow's Biological Parents)

Well done, Sam and Gilly. Well done. The diary entry says the High Septon issued an annulment for Prince Rhaegar and Elia Martell, and married him to Lyanna Stark in a secret ceremony in Dorne.
