At the Airport Already? Make Some Extra Cash Delivering Lost Luggage for Delta

God forbid your luggage gets lost or delayed in transit. It can be one of the most frustrating ordeals to figure out what happened to it, when you’ll get it back and why it didn’t seem to make it on the flight. (And so help us if our $800 dress rental has somehow gone M.I.A. in the process.)

One airline, though, is trying to make suitcase recovery a little less hairy. Delta has teamed up with Roadie, a delivery service that connects businesses with nearby drivers to make local, regional and long-haul deliveries. Through this partnership, travelers leaving the airport can pick up “Roadie gigs” to deliver other passengers’ lost luggage on their way home for some extra cash.

All you have to do is sign up on the Roadie website as a driver, and then log onto the app to see what gigs are available in certain airports. Luggage delivery drivers can make anywhere from $8 to $50 for local deliveries and up to $650 (!) for long-haul oversize bag drop-offs. But isn’t the joy of returning someone’s suitcase to its rightful owner and seeing their worry melt into joy worth more than any amount of money?

Um, sure, let’s go with that…
