Camilla Parker Bowles Calls Prince Charles the ‘Fittest Man of His Age’

Prince Charles should change his official title from the Prince of Wales to the Prince of Fitness (at least, according to Camilla Parker Bowles).

The Duchess of Cornwall recently appeared as a radio guest on BBC Radio 5's The Emma Barnett Show. During the conversation, the 72-year-old royal opened up about her husband’s health and fitness (even after his short fight with the coronavirus).

"He is probably the fittest man of his age I know," she said. "He'll walk and walk and walk. He's like a mountain goat, he leaves everybody miles behind.”

The duchess also does her best to keep in shape by taking Silver Swans ballet classes (virtually throughout the pandemic) during her free time. However, she’s been unsuccessful in getting her hubby to join her on the ballet barre. "I did not get him doing a plié, but he is a very, very fit man,” Camilla continued. “But he is not doing ballet."

During a video interview in April, Parker Bowles chatted about her time taking the class, which she originally thought was just going to be “a lot of ancient people wobbling about.”

“I thought it was going to be very funny and I was going to laugh at everybody toppling over next door to me, but I think we concentrate so hard we don’t even know what our friend next door is doing,” she said to dancer Dame Darcey Bussell and broadcaster Angela Rippon. “When I stand there I think to myself, ‘Drop your shoulders, breathe deeply, don’t hunch.' It’s those sorts of things which you have ingrained in your memory."

Hey, if we’re lucky, maybe one day we’ll see Charles attempt that plié.
