New York’s Famous Black Tap Milkshakes Have Officially Arrived at Disneyland

It’s no secret that taking a trip to Disneyland practically lends itself to an inevitable, sugar-induced coma fueled by Mickey-shaped ice cream and Rice Krispie treat vendors. But, pack your bags, because the theme park just got even sweeter.

Black Tap, New York City’s famous, over-the-top milkshake and burger joint, officially arrived to the Downtown Disney District of Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., over the weekend.

If you didn’t know, the New York-based burger chain is notorious for their ginormous (not to mention totally Instagrammable) milkshakes that taste just as good as they look. This isn’t the first time we’re hearing the news, however—Disneyland announced that Black Tap would be coming to Downtown Disney back in 2017. So yeah, we’ve been excitedly anticipating its arrival.

On the day of the opening, Jenny Flake of the popular Instagram account @disneyhungry reported there were “easily 100 people” waiting in a line that wrapped around the building by the time they opened at 11 a.m. We’re not totally sure how we’d be able to survive the swirly twirly Mad Hatter teacup ride after drinking one of those milkshakes, but, hey, you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do.

The Disneyland menu features a selection of eight of Black Tap’s famous “CrazyShakes,” which all have very different, but equally tasty toppings (an entire piece of cake, for example.)

Not a fan of milkshakes? Don't worry — Black Tap’s burgers are just as popular (and delicious.)

Just maybe stick to the “It’s a Small World” ride immediately after indulging. You’ve been warned.
