New Dad Andy Cohen Says He’s Already a ‘Soccer Mom’

Life as a new dad has really mixed things up for Andy Cohen.

The 50-year-old Watch What Happens Live host welcomed his son, Benjamin, this past February via surrogate and is deep in the throes of new parenthood.

Cohen stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers last night and filled Meyers in on how dad life is going with 4-month-old Ben. Spoiler alert: It’s really different. “Everything has changed,” Cohen said. “It’s amazing. He’s a little lovebug.”

What’s really changed? For one, Cohen says he’s amazed at all of the “gear” he has to lug around. “Besides all the love—the gear, dude. Oh, my God…It’s absolutely insane,” he explained. “I used to be Mr. Summer. I don’t know if you knew that about me. I was a mobile unit, I could go anywhere, light as a feather. Flip-flops, maybe bring my dog, maybe not, had a convertible.”

But with the arrival of a baby comes the departure of a convertible. So, Cohen has had to buy an SUV to “schlep all this stuff.” He freely admitted, “I’m a soccer mom.”

Lucky for us, the newly inducted soccer mom recently shared his full list of dad and baby essentials on Amazon, which includes everything from a Breville espresso machine (a total necessity at $350) to a chic and gender-neutral Maman diaper bag ($45).

He didn’t include any sideline folding chairs or coffee thermoses, but those will come in time…ya know, once Benjamin can actually play soccer.

Still, we can’t help but wonder: Will Cohen launch a new Bravo franchise called The Real Soccer Dads of [Insert City Here]? We totally hope so.
