Like Bill Murray, Amy Schumer is both funny and has an affinity for photobombing engagement pics.
The 37-year-old pregnant comedian learned of her new favorite pastime yesterday in Audubon Park in New Orleans. It started when she was walking her dog, Tati, with her husband, Chris Fischer, donning a maternity support belt and stumbled across a couple taking engagement photos. Naturally she photobombed them, and the results are totally classic.
She shared the photo of her stealing the lovebirds’ thunder and captioned it, “If you get engaged, Tati and I will be there.” (That seems like a pretty tall order, Amy.)
Jen Menard, who captured James Matthew (no, not Pippa Middleton’s husband) and Katherine Salisbury’s engagement photos, posted the epic photobomb and captioned it, “@amyschumer WE LOVE YOUUUU and plz photobomb anytime ya like.” (Same, Amy.)
Menard told The Huffington Post that the magic moment happened after they’d been shooting for only 20 minutes. Schumer, her husband and her dog walked past them and then came back to ask if it was an engagement shoot. When they confirmed it was (and tried to keep their cool over seeing comedian extraordinaire Amy Schumer in the flesh), the I Feel Pretty star exclaimed, “Can I photobomb?!” and the rest was history.
Unfortunately, Schumer hasn’t yet revealed how other couples hoping for a photobomb like this can request her services, but we’re hoping this isn’t the last we see of her making engagement photo cameos.
