This New Gadget Is Like a Roomba, but for Your Lawn

robot lawn mower 728

Among the home's many laborious tasks (see: laundry, vacuuming, scrubbing shower grout), mowing the damn lawn is especially irritating. So we were very, very excited to discover this robotic lawn mower on Amazon.

On the heels of robotic vacuum mania, it appears that robotic lawn mowers are now becoming mainstream. With this particular model by Robomow, all you need to do is press the on button, then sit back with a cup of lemonade and watch the little guy get to work.

Sound too good to be true? Well, we'd be remiss to mention that it might be. The few apparent reviews on this guy are completely divided. Some folks are describing it as "completely sub par and a purchase that I regret immensely" while others are saying it's "an excellent mower and fairly easy to set up." Hmmm. At $600, we realize its a pricey experiment—but if you have a huge lawn that sucks up all your free time, it might be worth it.
