We Found Your Kid’s Back-to-School Wardrobe—and It Checks All Your Boxes

Shopping for back-to-school clothing is a to-do item, no doubt. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make the most of this yearly ritual. Our advice? Find a place that serves both you and your little tykes, like H&M. Take it from Tia Patterson of @beeutifullymadetia and Kusum Basavaraju of @sveeteskapes—two moms who swear by H&M for all their kids’ clothes. Here’s why they love it.

The Styles Are Eco-friendly

Meet Tia, mom of two—Dash and Harlow—who are in no shortage of growth spurts. She says, “I appreciate that H&M has staple pieces that you can switch out to create multiple outfits. Kids and toddlers grow so fast, and it’s helpful to have pieces that you can mix and mingle to grow their little closets.” And Tia never has to feel bad when her kids outgrow clothes, because H&M creates them with sustainable materials that are climate positive. The company also has a garment collecting program where you can drop off old clothes and rest assured that the materials will be re-worn, reused or recycled.

The Clothing Has Personality

Part of the fun of dressing kids is finding cute pieces that express their budding personalities. On shopping at H&M: “I love the bright and fun colors, as well as the fashion-forward appeal!” says Tia. “The graphics are cool and edgy yet still age appropriate.”

You Can Afford To Have Options

Meet Kusum, a mom who loves the freedom to style her son Aarush’s outfits depending on the day. But since her back-to-school budget isn’t quite as big as her son’s closet (or her fashion imagination), shopping somewhere she can find a balance is important to her. That’s why she considers H&M her go-to. “Not only does H&M carry versatile pieces that are trendy and in season, but they also price items so that nearly everyone can afford them,” says Kusum.

High Standards Are Matched

“When I buy something, I always look for great quality pieces that can be worn over and over again,” says Kusum. Take Aarush’s sneakers: His mini slip-ons fasten with Velcro and have a cushy lining that feels good on his feet, while the sporty style and adaptable white faux leather match any outfit mom puts him in.
