This Action-Packed Bear Grylls Movie Is #2 on Netflix (& It's Actually Interactive)

Watching a great movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat is one thing. But getting pulled into a fun, interactive special that lets you participate in the story? That's entertainment on a whole new level.

Allow us to introduce you to Animals on the Loose: A You vs. Wild Movie, the interactive movie that climbed to the second spot on Netflix's top ten movies list in less than 24 hours. Inspired by the adventure reality television show, You vs. Wild, the film centers on British adventurer Bear Grylls, who needs a bit of assistance while pursuing wild animals that escape their sanctuary.

The synopsis reads, "The protective fence surrounding a wildlife sanctuary has mysteriously suffered a breach, and now animals are on the loose. Bear is called in to help rescue a mischievous baboon, track down a hungry lion, and fix the fence before any more animals get out. Three urgent missions await you with only so much time and Bear needs your help. With the possibility of completing a secret mission, each decision impacts this interactive adventure."

The project was directed by Ben Simms and executive produced by Grylls, Delbert Shoopman, Rob Buchta, Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Ben Silverman and Howard Owens.

If you're unfamiliar with the original series, then the film might strike you as a bit goofy. John Serba writes, "This special is really really really really silly. Bear lures a lion by limping and moaning, fights a snake, yells at elephants and, a moment later, shushes the elephants."

Still, getting to work with Grylls as he navigates the wild and completes his mission makes for a pretty fun experience.
