Michelle Obama is ready to pull back the curtain and give us an intimate look at her journey from the South Side of Chicago to the White House.

Yesterday, the former First Lady announced on Instagram that her first tell-all memoir, Becoming, is set to hit shelves (and Amazon carts) on November 13.

Of her memoir-writing experience, Obama told People, “Writing Becoming has been a deeply personal experience. It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life…how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others.”

Markus Dohle, CEO of Penguin Random House, the book’s publisher, said the memoir is “unusually intimate,” and we can’t wait to get all the deets on living in America’s equivalent of Buckingham Palace

In Michelle we trust.
