The Sex and the City reboot is receiving loads of support, even from the late Willie Garson’s son, Nathen.
Earlier this month, Kristin Davis shared a never-before-seen photo from the premiere of And Just Like That. The image featured Davis (Charlotte), Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Chris Noth (Mr. Big) posing with Nathen, whose father played Carrie’s well-dressed best friend, Stanford Blatch, on the popular SATC franchise.
The caption read, “The fact that Nathen Garson joined us at the premiere to watch and celebrate his father’s work, made our night. Nathen is such an impressive young man, I know that Willie is proud [red heart emoji].”
The photo was originally shared on Nathen’s official Instagram account, along with the caption: “What a wonderful trip and what an amazing time I got to have. Thanks @justlikethatmax for a wonderful time and for inviting me to enjoy the season premiere of And Just Like That! Go check it out on HBO Max!”
Willie was widely known for playing Stanford (AKA the “fifth lady”) on Sex and the City, but he was no stranger to fame. Not only did he appear in more than 300 television episodes, but he also starred in more than 70 movies. In September 2021, the actor passed away at age 57 at his home in Los Angeles.
Willie filmed part of the Sex and the City reboot prior to his tragic death, so a cameo by his son at the premiere felt like a necessary photo op. And Just Like That is now airing on HBO Max, but viewers can also tune into And Just Like That...a Sex and the City Reboot Podcast, where hosts Phil Mutz and Dara Katz break down each episode the day after it airs.
