Chris Pratt Encounters a Shockingly Cute Dino in New ‘Jurassic World’ Spoof
This new Jurassic World spoof is the giggle we needed after yesterday’s terrifying teaser trailer.
In a promo video posted on the franchise’s official Facebook page, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard team up with YouTube personality Zach King to release the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer in the midst of an IRL Jurassic Park situation. A hilarious spoof with an unexpected—and Oscar-worthy—ending ensues.
In the clip, King shows the Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom trailer to Howard and Pratt, but things take a horrifying turn when they go to upload the trailer and are faced with an all-too-familiar scene: smoky hallways, flickering lights, dino-like screeches, you name it.
At long last, the trio finds themselves in front of an ancient computer. Howard takes the lead and says she needs a floppy disk (throwback!); King obliges. But right when Howard inserts the disc, the lights suddenly flicker on to reveal the terrifying monster, er, cat that was lurking around.
As it turns out, it’s actually a fluffy cat dressed in a semi-vicious dinosaur costume. Howard and King walk over to tend to the house kitty, leaving Pratt all by his lonesome. But he isn’t about to let the creature’s suspicious disguise slide and contemplates whether or not the cat posing as a dino could, in fact, produce the noises that terrified them moments ago. Well, Owen (for once) is on to something because—right on cue—a dinosaur leaps out of nowhere and takes out Pratt in one swift move.
On the bright side, at least Pratt got his phone back. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
