Twitter Told Brie Larson to Smile More in ‘Captain Marvel’ & Her Response Deserves a Standing Ovation
There are few things more puzzling than when a passing stranger tells you to smile. (Mind your own business, will ya?) So, we can’t say we’re surprised that Brie Larson recently clapped back at a group of sexist internet trolls who criticized her stoic expressions in Captain Marvel.
It all started last week when Marvel released the first trailer for the highly anticipated movie, which has already garnered more than 37 million (!) views on YouTube. While most fans raved about the studio’s first-ever female-led film, others were quick to question why Larson is rarely seen smiling. (How rude!)
The discussion prompted one Twitter user to “fix” Captain Marvel by Photoshopping teeth on the actress, and yes, it’s just as creepy as it sounds.
When Larson caught wind of the viral tweet, she posted a series of photos on her Instagram Story, featuring iconic male superheroes showing off their pearly whites.
Teeth or no teeth, at least she doesn’t have to worry about smile lines. Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
