Was That Meghan Markle-Oprah Interview Shot at Rob Lowe's House? The Actor Finally Reveals the Truth

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle don't exactly have low-profile neighbors. The royal couple's Montecito home is in the same locality as plenty of famous celebrities, like their recent interviewer, Oprah Winfrey, and star couples like Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.

Now, one of their other neighbors, Rob Lowe, discussed how things changed when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into his neighborhood. Lowe told the E! Daily Pop podcast, “They definitely have brought a lot of attention to my sleepy little town. Let me tell you something, once the royals move into your neighborhood, the neighborhood is never going to be the same.”

Press coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has only increased ever since their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. And while that revealing interview raised many questions, one thing on many people's minds was: Where was it filmed?

Lowe also covered this topic in the interview, after rumors circulated suggesting that it was filmed at his house. Lowe laughed and said, “It's so funny. Everybody thinks the interview is shot at my house and then my friend Ted Sarandos, who runs Netflix, everybody thought they shot it at his house.”

However, Lowe doesn't think that it was shot at some secret location. He said, “Here's my thing and I have no idea: I think they just plain old shot it at Oprah's. I swear to you, and they just said it was a mystery location.”

Lowe, who has lived in his home for 26 years, said new neighbors like the royals and Oprah have helped breathe new life into Montecito. Still, there are a few small downsides. “Now that the royals are here: The good news is property values go up, the bad news is the line is longer at Starbucks,” Lowe joked.

It seems we'll just have to keep guessing where the royal couple filmed their internet-breaking interview (for now, at least).
