Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez Went Full Embarrassing Parent Mode for Twins Emme & Max’s 12th Birthday

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez went big for twins Emme and Max’s 12th birthdays, just not in the way that they usually do.

We know the 50-year-old “Jenny from the Block” singer and the 44-year-old former professional baseball player as purveyors of lavish parties and extravagant gifts. But when it came time for J.Lo to celebrate the twins she shares with ex Marc Anthony, she and A-Rod got super emotional instead.

Lopez wished her children a happy birthday with a sweet photo from infancy and a total mom caption.

Under her gorgeous photo of Emme and Max snoozing in a bassinet, Lopez wrote, “I know you’re 12 years old today but you will always be my babies...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL COCONUTS!!!” (For those unfamiliar, the Hustlers star’s nickname for her kiddos is Coconuts.) We can just see pre-teens Emme and Max rolling their eyes and uttering an embarrassed, “Moooom.” Ah, they grow up so fast.

Rodriguez got in on the family fun, too, sharing ten festive pics.

A-Rod captioned his photo series, “Happy Birthday Emme & Max!!!!! I’m so proud of both of you and so lucky to be a part of your life. I love you!” He threw in a heart emoji for good measure. J.Lo also commented a series of kissy and heart emojis on his post.

So what kind of pics did Rodriguez fête his soon-to-be stepchildren with? There were lots of family portraits featuring himself, Lopez, Emme, Max and his two daughters, Natasha and Ella. Some were snapped on vacation, some were taken at home and some were even captured while the kids and Lopez gathered on stage during her It’s My Party tour.

There’s even a video of Emme riding a camel and one of the twins’ very fancy birthday balloon and flower assortment.

Suffice it to say, Lopez and almost-stepdad Rodriguez are proud parents.
