“A mini reunion in New York City—former cast mates, favorite dinner dates, forever playmates. Photographed by my favorite artist, @rainerarts,” she captioned the post, along with three heart emojis.
Alias originally premiered on ABC in 2001 and ran for five successful seasons until airing its final episode in 2006. It followed a young woman named Sydney Bristow, who thought she was a member of a black-ops division of the CIA.
Garber played Sydney’s father, while Rifkin portrayed one of the show’s antagonists. So yeah, this reunion goes against all of Sydney’s criteria.
The NYC get-together comes just three days after Garner appeared on Good Morning America. During the segment, host Michael Strahan celebrated the actress’s birthday and serenaded her with a performance by the Hyde Park High School marching band.
Garner thoroughly enjoyed the tribute, considering she played the saxophone in her high school marching band. She even broke out her uniform and sax in honor of Reese Witherspoon’s 42nd and 43rd birthdays.
Now, if we could only get our hands on a copy of Garner, Garber and Rifkin’s dinner dialogue. (You know, just in case they’re planning an Alias revival like every other ’90s/early 2000s TV show.)
