Ever since you were young, you could be found bent over on the sidewalk examining an inchworm or lifting up rocks to see what crawled out from underneath. All these years later, you still love the outdoors, so why not combine your passion for nature with your knack for gardening to make a butterfly planter? Here’s how:
What you’ll need: A planter with drainage, Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix and flowers
Step 1: Fill your planter with potting mix.
Step 2: Before planting, make sure to choose the best flowers for attracting butterflies. These fluttery guys particularly love the colors purple, blue, white and yellow.
Step 3: Arrange your flowers in the planter. Once you’re happy with the design, it’s time to plant. Gently break up the root balls before inserting the plants into the soil.
Step 4: Thoroughly water your finished planter.
Step 5: Thirty days later, begin feeding your plants with Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food.
Step 6: Sit back, relax and let the butterflies come.
