The Jennifer Garner Show You Need to Binge Over Memorial Day Weekend, According to Our Entertainment Editor

Memorial Day weekend is almost here! Since we have a long weekend ahead of us, this could be a good time to catch up on some shows or find your next television obsession. That’s where PureWow’s weekly podcast Stream On comes in.

On this week’s episode, co-hosts Phil Mutz and Rachel Gulmi discussed some of their guilty pleasures for the week. At the 22:57 mark, Phil recommended that everyone should watch the 2001 thriller series, Alias, which stars the one and only Jennifer Garner. Oh, and did we mention all five seasons have just been added to Disney+?

Alias follows a woman named Sydney Bristow (Garner), who works as a double agent for the Central Intelligence Agency and poses as an operative of SD-6, an international criminal organization. Some of the show’s stars include Bradley Cooper, Michael Vartan, Victor Garber and Ron Rifkin.

Even though Mutz described the show as a “fun” watch, it would be a crime not to mention the numerous wigs Garner wears in the show. “Every one of them is like a cheap, Party City wig,” he jokingly told his co-host.

In the Stream On episode, Gulmi also revisited the Comedy Central sitcom, Workaholics. The series (which has found a new home on Hulu) follows three college friends who enter the workforce together. Gulmi says the show is “so freaking funny” and explains why it’s worth watching over this longgg Memorial Day weekend.

Don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review the podcast. And as always, keep calm and Stream On.
