Have you ever wondered what really goes down on the set of Big Little Lies? Well, Reese Witherspoon is giving us the 4-1-1 on those long, delirious night shoots. (Hint: It involves a musical starring Laura Dern.)
The 43-year-old actress recently sat down for an interview with InStyle. When asked about the cast, Witherspoon revealed that everyone’s true colors came out while filming season two of BLL.
“[Late-night on set] I like to make people laugh. Zoë [Kravitz] tells jokes too. Nicole [Kidman] carries around a bag of snacks with rock-hard old-lady candies, giving out peppermints and butterscotches. [Shailene Woodley] is just chill. And Laura gets delirious and starts making up musicals,” she said.
Witherspoon went on to gush over her crazy co-stars, adding, “I’m in awe of their talent and our collective ability to express on such a deep level, have joy on such a high level, and celebrate each other. It’s the most fulfilling expression of the female experience I’ve ever had on film.”
