The 37-year-old Duke of Cambridge thanked birthday well-wishers for sending their regards in June by sending them a postcard featuring quite possibly the best photo of him ever taken. Oh, there was a note component, too, but this pic…
As the back of the postcard notes, the photo was captured by Norman Jean Roy for British GQ in 2017, so it makes sense that William is putting out all the GQ vibes. He must be as fond of it as we are since he’s now used it to thank people for their birthday wishes three years in a row (aka since 2017).
The letter, which was not as exciting as the photo but was equally as British, read, “The Duke of Cambridge is most grateful to you for writing as you did on the occasion of his 37th birthday. It really was most thoughtful of you and His Royal Highness sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes.”
Last year, the note read, “The Duke of Cambridge was touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of his 36th birthday. It really was most thoughtful of you and His Royal Highness sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes.” So, at least we know he’s not reusing his birthday stationary year after year.
We bet we know which handsome pic he’ll choose to show appreciation for his fans next year…
