Want to Live Next Door to Prince William & Kate Middleton? Now You Can

If you’re like us, then you’ve probably dreamed about living the Meghan Markle fairy tale and moving in next door to Kate Middleton and Prince William. While there might not be any single princes hanging around, there is one way this fantasy could come true.

That’s because a two-bedroom home next door to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Anmer Hall country house just became available. Borrowing sugar from Prince William and Middleton, both 37, and enjoying the fresh country air? Sounds like heaven. But, beware, 20 Cherry Tree comes with a little bit of a warning (and a “large garden and off-road parking).

The property website states that 20 Cherry Tree is available to rent for about $850 a month (a major steal, especially when you have royal neighbors.) The direct warning? “Please be aware that this property has steep stairs.” OK, not quite the warning we were expecting. We were thinking something more along the lines of, “Royals! Paparazzi! Lavish garden parties ahead!” Guess not.

But that wasn’t the only warning that took us by surprise. The listing also states that Sandringham Estate has a “strict no cats policy.” Dogs, however, “will be considered on a house by house basis.” Since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a dog named Lupo, it appears they were deemed fit for canine companionship.

It’s not clear what the beef with cats is, but moving to the countryside is looking pretty good right now. And, since the village of Anmer has only 29 houses and a population of 63, you’d totally run into the Cambridges. Did we mention Queen Elizabeth’s summer house is only two miles away? You’re welcome.
