Just because author George R.R. Martin previously revealed that he has zero interest in making a cameo in season eight of Game of Thrones doesn’t mean the offer is off the table for the rest of the behind-the-scenes team, particularly the show’s two creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

That’s right, the pair appeared in last night’s episode of the popular HBO series, titled “The Last of the Starks.” (Benioff and Weiss played two Wildlings during the feast scene in Winterfell.)

As Insider points out, the duo can be seen cheerfully greeting Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in the banquet hall, while Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) raves about their accomplishments.

The showrunners weren’t the only celebs to make appearances in the eighth (and final) season of GoT. Other cameos include It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney and country music singer Chris Stapleton.

In addition to Benioff and Weiss, last night’s episode also featured a surprise “prop”: a Starbucks coffee cup.

While Tormund and Jon celebrated during the Winterfell feast, the camera panned to show a branded paper cup sitting on the table in front of Jon’s chair. Although we don’t know for sure, the product placement was likely a mistake—one of the actors was probably drinking a Starbucks beverage in between takes and forgot to stash it when the cameras started rolling.

BRB, rewatching season eight, episode four of Game of Thrones…again.
