When it comes to celebrating Christmas with her daughters, Drew Barrymore has a unique way of showing her love and appreciation.
Drew Barrymore Gets Candid About Why She Refuses to Give Her Kids Christmas Presents
Earlier this month, The Wedding Singer actress sat down with Entertainment Tonight and shared that she doesn’t buy Christmas presents for her two daughters: Frankie (8) and Olive Barrymore Kopelman (10). Before you go, “Wait, what?!” she has a very good reason for it.
“I always take them on a trip every Christmas,” she told the publication. “I don’t get them presents, which I think at their ages they don’t love, but I say, ‘I think we'll remember the place and the photos and the experience and that’s what I want to give you.’”

Barrymore went on to say that she’s not against giving gifts entirely: “They get plenty of things throughout the year, so I’m not like some weird, strict, cold mom who’s like, ‘You don’t get any gifts!’ I just feel like a better gift would be a life memory. I’d rather invest [in that than in] a doll house or something. It all evens out and it's fine.”
One year during the pandemic, the Charlie’s Angels star strayed away from tradition and gifted her children with Christmas presents but only since they couldn’t travel for the holidays. “I’m glad I do what I do,” she said.

Anyone else think a trip with Drew Barrymore sounds like the best possible Christmas gift anyway?
