Kate Middleton Gets Festive in Plaid While Arriving at the Queen’s Christmas Lunch

Christmas festivities are officially in full swing for the royal family.

Kate Middleton, alongside her husband Prince William and their three kids, attended the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch this morning. And while there are no official photos from the event, we did get to see a glimpse of the family arriving at Buckingham Palace thanks to a paparazzi shot.

For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a plaid dress (reportedly from Emilia Wickstead). And while only her sleeves and crisp white collar were visible as she sat in the car, she looked incredibly chic and in the holiday spirit while arriving with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Queen Elizabeth’s annual Christmas lunch is a holiday tradition for the royal family. Other extended members of the family, such as Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall, were also seen arriving at the event.

Following the luncheon, the royal family will head to Sandringham, where they will celebrate Christmas. They will all attend church in Norfolk on Christmas morning, where Charlotte and George are expected to make their debut.

However, according to Buckingham Palace, Meghan and Harry will be purposely absent from the public walk to church on Christmas morning and instead will be spending it with the duchess’s mother, Doria, in the United States.

Nothing says holiday-ready like a red, plaid ensemble, right?
