I’ve been working from home for more than 12 months now, and I think it’s finally time to admit that using my dresser as a standing desk isn’t cutting it. Yes, I felt clever propping a wooden board across an open drawer to better position my keyboard and mouse, but really I ought to invest in something a little more professional. And now that Wayfair’s huge once-a-year Way Day sale has arrived, I plan to do exactly that with a brand new standing desk and office chair.

There isn’t much extra space in my 500 square-foot apartment, so minimalism is key when shopping for furniture. Luckily, this sleek adjustable desk by Upper Square takes up barely any space, and blends in nicely with the other pieces in my living room. Or my bedroom, for that matter, as it’s definitely lightweight enough to move between the two if need be. It also uses an electric keypad to move between a max height of 48 inches and its low point of 28 inches, so I won’t have to stress about manually adjusting anything. It even comes with a built-in USB port so I can easily charge my phone right at my desk without using up one of the precious few ports on my laptop. And while I hope to be back in the office before the end of the year (for part of the week, at least), this Upper Square model comes with a five-year warranty, making it well worth the investment, especially considering it’s currently 25 percent off.

Rather than pair my sleek new desk with a plain kitchen chair (I don’t plan to stand all day), I’m splurging on this chic roller by Wade Logan that’s been sitting in my cart for a full two weeks now. I have a real soft spot for velvet upholstery, so it was the luxe cactus-green material that originally caught my eye. But the retro silhouette that almost looks like a regular armchair just made me feel even more in love—I definitely don’t want a true office swivel chair sitting in the corner of my living room, but a mid-century Mad Men-esque design will fit in quite nicely.

And it doesn’t just look good—this chair is also built with ergonomic support to better cushion your back and rear and promote better posture so you won’t feel quite so doubled over by the end of the day. It’s also adjustable in height, so your legs won’t be left dangling or bunched up. Based on more than 3,000 five-star reviews, assembly is incredibly easy (you’ll need to attach the legs yourself). And while the material is wonderfully soft, some shoppers recommend adding a lumbar pillow for extra support if you plan to use this chair for long stretches at a time.

Now I just can’t wait for my new setup to arrive so I can kick off my workweek in style.
