So, you were never one of those kids who could color within the lines. And now, as a full-grown adult, painting your nails is no different. But hey, that’s what polish remover and pointy Q-tips are for, right? Well, sort of.

Next time you get polish on your skin (so pretty much every time you paint them): Take a pointy Q-tip and dip it in some rubbing alcohol instead.

Most polish removers have acetone in them--which melts the pigment and stains the surrounding skin--whereas rubbing alcohol just tackles the polish without breaking it down. Now if only we could get them to stop chipping.
