Meghan Markle Dedicates Latest Instagram Post to Her First-Ever Royal Cause

Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram post has us feeling nostalgic.

The Duchess of Sussex dedicated a slideshow on Thursday to the Hubb Community Kitchen, a group started by women whose community was affected by the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire in London where more than 70 people died.

Markle has privately worked with the organization for the past few years—preparing meals and even writing the foreword for a cookbook featuring their recipes to benefit the project.

“Spotlight on: The Hubb Community Kitchen,” part of the caption read. “It was just one year ago that The Duchess of Sussex made a special visit to the women of The Hubb Community Kitchen to help prepare meals for those in need. The connection between The Duchess and these women began a year prior, as she supported them in the creation of ‘Together,’ a charity cookbook which celebrates the power of cooking to bring communities together.”

The organization also holds a special place in the duchess’s heart—it was the first cause she championed solo in her royal role. Not to mention she hosted a palace luncheon for the program, where she gave her first-ever public speech as the Duchess of Sussex.

And who can forget when both she and Adele visited the kitchen on Thanksgiving Eve last year? The duchess even sported an apron to help prep meals.

We’re officially in the giving spirit.
