Kelsea Ballerini Fans Can Add Her Revealing New Poetry Book to Their Holiday Wish List

Kelsea Ballerini can officially put “best-selling author” on her resume alongside her several other noteworthy achievements, like “two-time Grammy nominee.” The “Half of My Hometown” singer, 28, recently released her first-ever poetry book, Feel Your Way Through.

The novel features a collection of poems that Ballerini wrote during the coronavirus pandemic, detailing everything from her childhood to her adult life. The short stories chronicle her highs and lows in a harmonious way that goes beyond songwriting. Ballerini also explores several moments that made her who she is today, like how she was impacted by her parents’ divorce.

“I’ve realized that some feelings can’t be turned into a song…so I’ve started writing poems,” the musician said in a statement. “Just like my songs, they are personal and honest. Just like my songs, they have hooks and rhymes. Just like my songs, they talk about what it’s like to be twenty-something trying to navigate a wildly beautiful and broken world.”

Since its debut, Feel Your Way Through has been climbing up the best-seller charts. Not only did it reach the top 50 overall list on Amazon, but it also claimed the number one spot in the retailer’s poetry category.

Ballerini published Feel Your Way Through with Ballantine, an imprint of Random House. (Fans of Younger know what this means.)

If you need us, we’ll be adding Feel Your Way Through to our holiday wish list.
