The 2019 Oscar Award for Best Picture Goes to ‘Green Book’

green book cast oscars

Sure, we can spend hours critiquing watching every Oscar-nominated film, but there can be only one winner.

Tonight, the 91st annual Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and Green Book went home with the highly coveted award for Best Picture.

The film was up against Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice.

Unlike other Oscar categories, the Best Picture award is given to the entire cast and crew, not just the stars. Previous winners include The Shape of Water (2018), Moonlight (2017), Spotlight (2016) and Birdman (2015).

On the bright side, at least they read the envelope correctly. (Cough, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, cough.)
